Deep roots, fresh beginnings

It started with a coconut grove

Before a coconut reaches your kitchen, there’s a place, a family, and years of learning behind it. For us, that place is Colima. And the story is still growing

  1. 1949

    Our roots in Colima

Our roots go back to 1949 on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Our story began in Armería, Colima, and this coconut-growing community is still the place we call home.

  2. Three generations

    Knowledge passed down

Our grandparents began growing coconuts to supply the region. They taught us to select coconuts carefully, one by one, and replant for the next generation of palms.

  3. Today

    A little closer to you

That growing tradition lives on in A de Coco. With fresh coconuts and ready-to-pour coconut water, we’re bringing a taste of our home to everyday life in the United States.

A look at where we come from

Where our family’s coconut-growing story began

Our story starts in Armería, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. These are the palms we tend and the people we grow alongside. From planting young palms to bringing in the harvest, we carry forward the knowledge our grandparents shared with us.

Good things grow together

Our mission is to serve. The growers who nurture our palms, the people we work alongside, and everyone who welcomes our coconuts into their home.

Growing coconuts has always been a shared effort. It takes people who know the palms, people who care for the harvest, and people who help it reach your table.

Respect, honesty, and working together are part of our family’s tradition. We carry those values into our relationships with growers, our team, and everyone who brings A de Coco home.

We build long-term relationships with local growers, sharing technical training and support for their work in the field. Keeping that knowledge in our communities helps the next generation continue growing here in Colima.

Care comes naturally

Close to the coconut,
from the very beginning

We grow, select, and process our coconuts with care. By staying involved from cultivation to finished product, we know where our coconuts come from and how they’re handled.

Planting for the next generation

Our grandparents taught us to choose coconuts one by one for replanting. That careful selection is where the next grove begins.

Care starts with our people

From growers and harvesters to the people who process and transport our coconuts, this work connects livelihoods across our region.

We manage the journey from cultivation through processing, keeping track of our coconuts’ origins as they move from the grove to the finished product.

A little help from the sun

Solar energy is part of our production plant’s approach to caring for the resources we use.

Make more of every coconut

We use the whole coconut and keep waste to a minimum. Care for the fruit continues beyond its water and flesh.
